Juicy Syrah with elegance and poise, but still rough-and-tumble and approachable. In the same vein it shows ripe fruit in step with brooding savoury depth. 

Smell and taste nettles, pine, liquorice, chocolate, blueberries, bramble, currant, cassis. Playful and sophisticated and ready to drink, though it has good mid-range ageing potential (like 5 years, in the right conditions).

Soft, plush tannins give the wine a generosity and opulence, bright acid and gentle, hands-off winemaking give it restraint and repose.

Really excellent, versatile Syrah that we have been returning to often of late.
