Deep, glossy, and inky in colour. There is a presence of oak but it doesn’t carry the wine or overpower it, it’s just a whisper of vanilla and sweet spice. No new oak was used, but the wine matured in second-use oak for ten months. The fruit sings. Dark cherry and bramble, sour cherry, red currant, cassis, cranberry, there is real developed fruit flavours, but they retain freshness, and the bright acid gives them vibrancy and liveliness.

There’s a distinctly herbaceous edge to the aroma; some thyme, aniseed, and eucalypts peak out. Dry earth and tar speak to the wines regionality (very classic in these parts). Dry tannins combine well with driving acid.
