Swirling, deep, moody fruit; blackberries and black cherries in powerful and dense form. Little flashes of eucalyptus and dried herb accent a juicy wine with ripeness in abundance. 

25-ish days maceration seems about perfect, the wine doesn't feel like it's been over worked or beaten up; the acid is fresh and verging on bracing but certainly instep with the richness of the wine. Fine tannins build on the palate but never swamp the fruit and acid. Lees stirring and new-ish oak give it a broad luscious feel in the mouth. 

Sweet spice hovers on the periphery adding another layer of intrigue and curiosity. 

Full and delicious - this will so reliably please a broad spectrum of drinkers. I am impressed with everything I see from the Frederick Stevenson label at present.
