Pinotage has historically been a bit of joke in the wine world - a cross between Cinsault and Pinot Noir, it's kind of a 'they were so preoccupied with whether they could, they didn't stop to ask whether they should' sort of scenario. Now, though, we see excellent examples out of South Africa regularly.  

Nearly all whole bunch and semi-carbonic making for a glossy, vibrant wine packed with energy. Abundant fruit; raspberries, red cherries. Tart and crunchy and light on its feet.
